Wendell Berry receives Literary Peace Prize

Writer and farmer Wendell Berry was honored at the Dayton Literary Peace Prize gala Sunday for his lifelong pursuit of peace through his novels, essays, short stories and poems.
Berry was awarded the 2013 Richard C. Holbrooke Distinguished Achievement Award, one of three awards presented during the eighth-annual event, the first and only U.S. award to recognize the power of literature to influence peace.
