Still haven't figured what caused an astonishing spike in my p l a i n e r hits back on July 4 and 5 ... 324 and 350, respectively ... on a blog that averages about ten hits (frequently fewer) per day. This spike has probably skewed those averages for the next decade or so.
p l a i n e r is living up to its name. So plain (next to) nobody notices ... and that's ok. No pressure. I don't work so well under pressure anyway.
I'm just glad I've got this blog to write about that blog.
And speaking of this blog ...
Do you know how TypePad keeps track of page hits? Does it count people who read your blog(s) through applications such as Google Reader?
That's how I usually read both this blog and plainer.

Good question, Steve. I don't know for sure how they do it. My referral records sometimes point me to a link from another blog, but mostly they are blank ... very unhelpful. And since I get so very few hits anyway, I'm not sure TypePad is the problem. Maybe the blanks (a hit with no referral i.d.) are from aggregators ... dunno.

but dont you feel good someone looks, whatever reason it may be?
Perhaps they will find something they didn't know they ahd any interest in.
Min is easier ... 1.75 readers max
