I've been trying to live some kind of Carmelite life since 1968, when I began a sojourn with the North American PCM province.
I've been what is called a teacher for over thirty years. I've been blessed to have taught (mostly English) at DeSales High School in Louisville, KY; Mount Carmel High School in Houston, TX; Joliet Catholic High School and Academy in Joliet, IL; and Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, IL. I've also worked at the now-closed Carmel Retreat in Mahwah, NJ.
I'm a pretend poet with an interest in a range of poetries.
I've had a long-term interest in the essays, fiction, and poetry of Wendell Berry.
